Carly Hobbs, 27, from Lewisburg, Tennessee, is excited to be a part of the new Battle Creek Elementary School! She joins the Battle Creek Elementary School staff from Spring Hill Elementary School where she has been a kindergarten teacher for the past two years. Prior to this, she taught an interim at Marvin Wright Elementary School and another at Cornersville Elementary School, both in third grade. She taught preschool at Lewisburg First United Methodist Church, where she is also a member.

Upon graduating from preschool herself, Carly announced to the audience that she wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. She has never waivered from her decision. She was granted the Retired Teachers Scholarship at Marshall County High School toward her education in Elementary Education at Martin Methodist College. While at MMC, she received the J. Maurice Perspective Teacher Award, was a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, was president of the Student Tennessee Education Association, and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Ms. Hobbs enjoys a challenge and believes that every student deserves the very best opportunity to learn. With this goal in mind, she is eager to join the Battle Creek Elementary team as a
first grade teacher!
